Pastor: Elder Marcus L. Calhoun

Marcus L. Calhoun was born in California to a military family who after being stationed abroad decided to call Wichita, KS home. He accepted the Lord at an early age and soon recognized an immense calling on his life. He stepped into ministry at the age of 11 and preached his first message under the leadership of Pastor Moses Brown of then Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita, KS. Marcus faithfully served in the Youth and Music Departments. 

After reaching adulthood, he moved to Arlington, TX. While there he served under the ministry of Pastor Ronnie Goines of Koinonia Christian Church; however, his heart has always been to minister the Word of God.In 2012, he returned to Wichita, KS. He joined and served under the leadership of Pastor DeAndre’ Morris Sr. of Kingdom Harvest Church. It was in this church, the Lord stretched him in his calling. He led the men as the Men’s Ministry Director, assisted in the Music Department until the hiring of a full time musician and assisted with Worship, Arts & Sound Ministry. In November 2017, after completing a year and a half class full of mentoring, instruction, correcting and guidance, he was elevated to the office of Elder. 

God began tugging on his heart about the immense Pastoral calling. The Lord specifically spoke to him and said, “You have been serving the visions of others long enough, it is time to launch into the deep.” After much prayer, time and specific guidance, he along with his wife launched Impact Worship Center, Inc. where he serves as Senior Pastor & Founder.

He is a bi-vocational Pastor and is a licensed Barber and Instructor. He is married to Elder Monica L. Calhoun and they together have 7 (6 boys and 1 girl) children. They reside in Wichita, KS and are excited for what this ministry will mean for the City and the surrounding area.
